I'm Fred, founder of Back Forty Media. Back Forty Media is a one-person shop out of Indiana. I'm a software engineer with family roots in farming who likes to spend most of my free time fishing.

I started this because I kept running into individuals and small businesses with websites that didn't represent the quality of their work. That felt like something I could help with.

I handle websites, Google business accounts, and everything in between. No agency overhead, no mass emails, and no technical jargon. So you can focus on what you do best.

What's the difference between Presence and Platform?

Presence is for businesses that need a great looking site people can find. Platform is for businesses that need their site to do something more complex, such as take bookings, collect payments, or manage inquiries. Not sure which one? Just reach out.

Do I own my website?

Your content is yours: photos, text, domain, and everything else you provide. After your 12-month contract, you can request the raw code for the site files and host yourself. Back Forty Media retains the right to reuse the generalized structure and components in other projects, but what's built specifically for you is yours.

What if I need to cancel early?

Early termination is 50% of the remaining contract value. We'd rather part on good terms than leave you feeling stuck.

How long until my site is live?

Typically 2–3 weeks after we kick things off. We'll walk you through exactly what we need, from logos to photos, as well as a bit about your business.
